We’re often asked if we have any financing available for the harps. We do indeed! We’ve worked with Allegro Acceptance for many years – they also work with Steinway, Yamaha, etc. They’re very easy to work with, starting right from the application process. (The financing is only available within the United States, though). We have a single page Credit Application with the usual questions about bank and credit card accounts, housing, and that sort of thing. When you’ve completed the application, you can either scan and email it or just fax it to me, along with a copy of your driver’s license. I’ll finish filling out my part of the application, and forward it on to Allegro. They let me know in short order if you’re approved or not, and I then let you know as well. Once you’re approved, I send you a simple contract to finish filling out (just name and address, mostly) and sign, and you send that back to me. That’s it! Then you just have to wait for your harp!
When using the financing package, we still need at least $1,000 as a down payment. You’re welcome to pay more, either at the time of the order or as we approach starting your harp. So you can use the financing to pay for as little or as much of your harp as you like, down to the $1,000 down. There’s no penalty for early payoff or anything like that, so it’s really a good package.
In terms of monthly payments, you can spread the loan out over 1, 2, or 3 years. The interest rate is about 9.5%, with 1 and 2 year terms being slightly less than 3 years. Let’s put some solid numbers to all this, though. Let’s say you bought a harp for a total sale price, including shipping, spare strings, etc, for $7,000, and put $1,000 down. Your monthly payments would be as follows;
- 1 Year – about $525 per month for 12 months
- 2 Years – about $275 per month for 24 months
- 3 Years – about $194 per month for 36 months
About two weeks after you get your harp, you’ll get a coupon book from Allegro, and you’ll be all set.
